The Morning Beyond the Mountain by Sumant Barooah.

The Blurb:  Love often wished for, at times actually happen at first sight when two people from distant lands of Australia and Thailand fall in Love. True relationships ascertain no boundaries, no distances, no environs, no religion, no nationalities, only the honesty of love, care, and respect. Weddings is envisaged to be made in Heaven, but they do happen in unfettered life-celebrating progression. My Take: Author Sumant Barooah is back with his new book The Morning Beyond the Mountain which is a pleasant story with compelling narration.  The Morning Beyond the Mountain has a unique story that is filled with diverse cultures, cuisines, travel, philosophy, traditions, religions, responsibilities, family bonds, work ethics, and love.  The Highlight of this book is that, there are few moments in this book that the author has written thoughtfully and full of emotions, like when growing up you intend to follow your parents' step, you start to understand them and along with it you beco

The Blurb & The Story: Curiosity kills the cat. Excessive curiosity kills a woman.Amateur model Anna Heinrich was obsessed. Since the second she saw the rich and renowned photographer Hamilton Chu on a magazine cover, she knew that she had to find him, no matter what it took. Why wouldn’t she? Wavy black hair, a jawline as sharp as his eye for beauty, and a bank account so robust he could own a whole island, Hamilton Chu is the most perfect man among perfect men. There was more to him than met the eyes, however. After their first meeting in Zürich, an inescapable spiral of games and deceit began, and Anna realized Hamilton wasn’t as flawless as he seemed. He is a scathingly manipulative man with a bizarre fetish for human irises. But it is too late to get out. Already under Hamilton’s spell, a simple whisper from him renders her resistance useless. Will she ever find a way out? My Take:  The Eye Collector: A Wicked Romance Psychological Thriller is the new book written by the autho

Teen Sey Chhey - Rewinding Bollywood by Bobby Ghatak.

Image
The Blurb:  The ‘Tragedian’ Dilip Kumar who amazed us as a ‘Prince’ and a ‘Bandit’.The onslaught of Bachchan vaporizing all. The collapse of the pedigreed ‘Star Sons’, a pirate who turned in to a ‘mogul’ and many such epoch moments that stand out to define Bollywood. Tracing events chronologically since the ‘Big3’-who later made way for the rise of a ‘Superstar’, followed by a ‘Phenomenon’, who had the industry eating out of his hands. Read about Titans battling the pain of shocking failures and outbreaks of mediocrity. Actors and filmmakers alike, working up their way tenaciously where few found glory in an embracing Friday while some watched their destiny shredding away. In a world where only the toughest survive, many faded away as memories lying in catacombs of extinct theatres while some serenaded to finally reach the comfort of the multiplexes. From Raj Kapoor to Ranveer Singh, ‘Teen Sey Chhey’ is your veritable window to peer into the joyous world of Hindi films. My Take:  Teen

The Paradise Conflict by Abhishek Ghosh.

The Blurb:  A QUESTION, WE ALL MUST THINK ABOUT: WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE WORLD WE KNOW WHERE WATER IS SCARCE AND PUT UNDER CONTROL BY A POWERFUL REGIME? From an unknown future, where the water resources are controlled by the Civil Imperial Regime. The water bodies and rainforests which survived from the industrial wastes and exploitation are heavily guarded. If there is any unauthorised entry and consumption, the common people will be shot, imprisoned or forced into labour camps. But, there are rebels in the world who are fighting against the Imperial Regime. The surviving tribes rejected the Imperial Rule. The Rebels and the tribes have formed an alliance to topple the ruling regime. The rebels are fighting to restore the world, so that the world is free from further exploitation of natural resources and uniting the world together to restore balance in nature and humanity. My Take:  The Paradise Conflict is the new book released and written by the author Abhishek Ghosh and it an incre

The Fishbowl: Story of the Storyteller by Vivek Kumar.

Image
The Blurb:  It’s all just a fishbowl you are sleeping inside and when you wake up it will be gone. — The cloaked man. Remembering childhood as it used to be before it was devoured by reality, this E-Book straddles the twin worlds - of an imaginative little boy and of the boarding school realities - in a rural India town. A heartfelt narration of teenage tales, of rebellion and romance, of friendship and alienation, 'The Fishbowl' recreates a surrealistic but real world. And if you look close enough, you will find a reflection of yourself in it, for no man or woman is untouched by the passage of time and its after-effect on childhood memories. My Take:  The Fishbowl: Story of the Storyteller is a newly written book by the author Vivek Kumar. Firstly I want to start with the part that I liked the most about this book is that the way the author Vivek Kumar has described each and everything in detailed description also keeping in mind the minor details of characters' emotions,

From Daylight To Madness: The Hotel #1 by Jennifer Anne Gordon.

Image
The Blurb:  On an almost uninhabitable rocky island off the coast of Maine, a Hotel looms over the shore, an ever-present gray lady that stands strong like a guard, keeping watch. For many who come here, this island is a sanctuary and a betrayal. This is a place where memories linger like ghosts, and the ephemeral nature of time begins to peel away …like the sanity of all who have been unlucky enough to step foot on its shore. In the late spring of 1873, Isabelle gave birth to her son Oscar, he cried for three startling minutes, and then went silent. During the months that follow, Isabelle is drugged and lulled into an almost hallucinatory world of grief and fear. Her life begins to feel as though it exists in a terrifying new reality separated from those around her … When her grieving begins to make her husband, Henry, uncomfortable, he and his mother conspire to send Isabelle away to a Summer Hotel on Dagger Island, where she can rest and heal. While they are adamant that the hotel i

The Blurb: There is a desire in everyone to be great. What causes people to walk onto the pages of history and Scripture?Could there be a recipe that causes people to be remembered for ages?No matter your placement, job or occupation there is a recipe for all to follow and be remembered. It is a recipe that is found on the pages of history and Scripture. I hope you will be blessed. A Scott Blackmon  My Take: This is the first book I'm reading of the author and I m impressed the way the author is trying to express his beliefs. I found this book very unique, the story is written with emotions and full of experiences that I enjoyed reading. The book has a uniqueness that grasped my attention fully, from the politics of selecting the next king to today's life, from God's view to human's understanding, from greatness to suffering. From a great example of sacrifice to the method of starting it now. From the story of Joseph to mind-blowing truth.  I just loved reading this boo

UsTaad : Journey Of A Shayar by Chetan Mahajan

Image
About Book:  When some couplets written on a piece of paper are making singers famous, here is a story of a Shayar who writes those couplets. From Ghalib to Shiv Kumar Batalvi, poets got more and more famous only after their deaths. Their journeys were speculated by readers, their writings became a part of the school curriculum. UsTaad is the journey of today’s poet. His name sounded arrogant while his Shayari was painful. He was no hero who had a happy ending. He didn’t preach. He didn’t motivate. Was UsTaad an alter ego, a survival mechanism, a defense mechanism or was he just a today’s poet? He suffered and his family suffered but his pen never stopped. UsTaad just dared to write it all. My Take:  UsTaad: Journey of a Shayar is the debut novel by Chetan Mahajan and its a collection of beautifully expressed Hindi Poems but with a twist of English composition.  The book starts with Safar, where the author Chetan Mahajan describes a scene where he is traveling on a bus, then continues

Why So Poetry? by Niket Raj Dwivedi.

Image
The Blurb:  The poems in this book are mostly sad and miserable but can be laughed upon too with a little attention to detail. No matter how much you relate to one of them, know that Poetry in itself is music to the eyes and it was always meant to be felt and forgotten. Rest, love has always been tragic and mostly meaningless and temporary. My Take:  Why so poetry has a collection of 50 short poems that will warm your heart and make you smile. Each poem is written with simplicity but has a deeper meaning of hidden in the words once you read them All you will feel is the emotions in those words. I have always loved reading poetry is because I think it’s the best way to express our hearts without being judged. If anyone talks about the pain then the other will either be sympathetic or will just listen. But when you say the same story in form of a poem then the others can feel your pain along with you. That’s how effectual the poetry is and these poems written by poet Niket Raj Dwivedi ar

For the entire 45 years of his existence, he's meticulously planned everything, only to watch it all fall apart right in front of him. He's heartbroken, self-destructive, and on the verge of losing his job. Nothing a few weeks of therapy and a feisty chef can't fix, right? A follow-up novella to The Weight of Birds, Still Waters is the emotional continuation of the story readers everywhere fell in love with! Boons & Curses by Yugal Joshi.

The Blurb:  It is said that Kunti fulfilled her desires and ambitions through her sons, the Pandavas, resulting in the bloodbath in Kurukshetra. And once the truth struck her she sought help from Krishna to get rid of her guilt. Krishna became Kunti’s moral guardian, a conversation began, from which emerged fascinating tales of women in mythology. In this brilliant retelling, Kunti is placed at the central of the novel and running parallel to her universe are the stories of Aditi and Diti, the primordial mothers, the rebellious Soorpanakha, the independent Sanjana and Tara, trendsetters such as Anusuya, intrigues of Kaikeyee and Kaikasi, the helpless Gandhari, the self-sacrificing Devaki’s and the selfless Yashoda. These are the stories of resolve, exploits, revenge, sacrifice, and affection—taken together they give us a deeper understanding of the legendary women in India. My Take:  Boons & Curses is a book that has been translated into many languages and is the debut novel writte

Sonder: Daily Epiphany by Abhinav Motiwal.

Image
The Blurb:  The word 'Sonder' has its origins in neologism and was coined in 2012 by John Koenig. What does it mean? It is inspired by German "sonder"- special and French "sonder"-to probe. It has a very special meaning of the profound realization that everyone, including strangers passed in the street, has a life as complex as one's own. They are constantly living in it despite their lack of awareness of it. By extension, a collective existence with individual levels of awareness and general ignorance. That brings us to the primary motif of the poems, a fly on the wall commentary on daily life and observations. At times satirical, albeit dwelling on the world around us. The works use color, emotions, or behavior to reflect the tendencies and idiosyncrasies of people whom we see in our daily lives. The poems explore contrarian ideas or the flipside of reasoning or simply try making the mundane less so, weaving words in the process. While some poems tell
